Vata Tea helps to ease anxiety and soothe the gut. A medicinal herbal blend with balanced flavors, slightly bitter, sweet, and gently warming. (Caffeine free)
Chamomile, Gotu Kola, Orange Peel, Cinnamon, Licorice and Cardamom
Keep herbal teas in an airtight container and then store in a dark, cool, dry place free from strong odors.
The shelf life of dried loose herbs is 1-2 years. If herbs begin to lose smell, taste and/or color, they are best used for compost rather than medicine.
A brewed herbal tea keeps about 3 days when tightly bottled and refrigerated. Reheat as needed, don’t boil.

Calms the Wind!
Vata consists mainly of the element of air (and ether) and a person with a predominant vata constitution or imbalance has a tendency to feel cold, dry, light and mobile which increase anxiety, feeling scattered and ungrounded, and dries of stools.
To counter those qualities, Ayurveda suggests warming, moistening and nutritive foods and therapies. Chamomile and gotu kola are both powerfully effective in calming the nervous system. Cumin, coriander and fennel (CCF) balance agni (digestive fire) and reduce gas and bloating, and cinnamon and cardamom are warming caminatives that additionally help to relieve cramping and expel gas. Lavender has sedative properties that promote deep relaxation, making it a natural remedy for insomnia and sleep disturbances.
How to brew
To make an infusion, simply boil 1 cup of water to 2 teaspoons – 1 tablespoon of herbs depending on desired strength. Pour water over the herbs and let steep for 10 minutes. The more herb you use and the longer you let it steep, the stronger the brew. Drink 3-4 cups daily for 2-3 months and feel the stress just slip away.
