Lemon-Aid with Meyer's Lemons

The last many weeks, Meyer lemons have been in abundance, still you cannot have too many –

These juicy fruits are so versatile and chock-full of vitamin C. I use the juice for a simple LemonAid that is *Alkalizing *Cleansing *Energizing

LEMONAID Recipe, 4 servings
I N G R E D I E N T S :

  • 2 tablespoons fresh-squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1 quart filtered water
  • 4 drops liquid Stevia or Maple Syrup, to taste

Pour the lemon juice and water into a  glass Mason jar or other non-plastic container; add the liquid stevia. Stir, and drink freely throughout the day. 

Variation: Add 1-2 teaspoons of ‘Calm’ (Magnesium supplement) – Adds a little fizz.

Other ways to use Lemon Juice & Zest –

  • Dilute with sparkling water – Elegant and refreshing!
  • Add lemon zest and juice in salads, stir-fry, dressings and baked goods
  • Lemon zest adds a nice refreshing component to breakfast items like: porridge, egg or tofu vegetable scramble

Tip! My housemate Dawn freezes and stores lemon juice in ice cube trays, and adds to water.
