Cleanse & Rejuvenation is in full swing and one of the fresh juices we are serving up is a healthy green juice. This is a low carbohydrate drink rich in nutrients well-suited if you have Type 2 diabetes, high blood sugar, pre-diabetes, or are simply looking to cut down on sweets. The minty, tart flavor is light and satisfying. Cucumber and lettuce are great for skin, naturally low in calories, high in vitamin K which is important for blood clotting and bones and high in folate and vitamin C. Ginger helps warm the drink to support digestion and offer anti-inflammatory properties.

Perky Pear Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 firm green pear
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 head green lettuce
  • fresh ginger, 1-inch piece
  • 1/2 lime, peeled
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint & parsley
How to: Wash and cut fruits and vegetables to fit into the juice funnel. Alternate pushing ingredients through.
