Keep herbal teas in an airtight container and then store in a dark, cool, dry place free from strong odors.

The shelf life of dried loose herbs is 1-2 years. If herbs begin to lose smell, taste and/or color, they are best used for compost rather than medicine.

A brewed herbal tea keeps about 3 days when tightly bottled and refrigerated. Reheat as needed, don’t boil.

Sparks Fire!

Kapha is primarily made up of the elements of water and earth. When in excess, it can lead to feelings of heaviness, sluggish digestion, low energy, and a sense of cold or dampness in the body. Ayurveda brings balance by introducing warming, drying, lightening, and stimulating qualities.

Warm Digest – Kapha Tea is crafted with a blend of aromatic spices that kindle digestive fire and help clear stagnation. Cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper warm and stimulate digestion, while fennel, anise, and cardamom support the assimilation of food and ease bloating. Clove adds warmth and supports circulation, bringing lightness and clarity.

This is a deeply warming, invigorating tea that supports metabolism, reduces post-meal fullness, and helps restore a sense of lightness and energy — especially during the colder, heavier months or seasonal transitions into spring.

How to brew

Herbal tea brewing basics: Put 1-3 tsp. of tea in strainer, then place in cup. Add 8 oz. just-boiled water and steep for 4-6 minutes. For an herbal chai: Top off with 1/4 cup nut milk and sweeten with honey.

For a stronger brew, use more tea or steep a little longer.
