Cinnamon Stewed Apples
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 apples, diced (local and organic if available)
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 tablespoon filtered water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions

Place all the ingredients into a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium and allow to to simmer for 15 minutes while stirring regularly.
- Serve warm or allow to cool and store in the fridge and use as a topping on oatmeal, pancakes or enjoy with coconut yogurt such as Cocojune brand.
Tips
- You can swap the cinnamon for nutmeg or ground ginger, or use a mixture of all three.
- Add some extra crunch by sprinkling them with crushed pecans and walnuts
- If the saucepan starts to dry out, you can always add a little more water.
