Cinnamon Stewed Apples

Serves 4


  • 4 apples, diced (local and organic if available)
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


  1.  Place all the ingredients into a saucepan. Turn the heat to medium and allow to to simmer for 15 minutes while stirring regularly.
  2. Serve warm or allow to cool and store in the fridge and use as a topping on oatmeal, pancakes or enjoy with coconut yogurt such as Cocojune brand.


  • You can swap the cinnamon for nutmeg or ground ginger, or use a mixture of all three.
  • Add some extra crunch by sprinkling them with crushed pecans and walnuts
  • If the saucepan starts to dry out, you can always add a little more water.
